Rep. Mark Walker, R-N.C., a leader of the House conservatives’ most vocal organization, trying a little matchmaking between some of Washington’s Republican leaders and the presidents and chancellors of the nation’s historically black colleges and universities.

The gift to TMCF—named after the first black U.S. Supreme Court Justice—is a five year gift that provides undergraduate scholarships, graduate fellowships, and funds to faculty members involved in social sciences.
