July 22, 2019

WASHINGTON, DC – November 9, 2016 – “The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) congratulates President-elect Hillary Rodham Clinton on her historic election as the 45th President of the United States of America. As a non-partisan higher education non-profit organization advocating for the nation’s publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), we work to ensure that HBCUs remain part of the political conversation. We are hopeful that the incoming Clinton Administration will engage with TMCF and the HBCU community as well as implement the “New College Compact” plan. TMCF stands ready to serve as a resource to the Administration and work as a partner to strengthen the nation’s higher education sector and HBCUs. Today, is a new day for HBCUs and a new opportunity to have a friend in the White House. We look forward to building a productive and substantive working relationship on behalf of our member schools with President-elect Clinton, Vice President-elect Kaine and the entire Administration.” Johnny C. Taylor Jr., TMCF President & CEO.
