The audience consisted of over 400 students that attended TMCF’s Leadership Institute, and over 1,000 civic, corporate, government and education leaders from around the country at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
The organization has provided more than $3.5 million in scholarships to students this year alone.
At 20-years-old, Wilson happened to be the youngest of those honored while awarded $10,000 from the McDonalds HBCU Forward Scholarship.
