Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) announces a $500,000 donation from Lowe’s to assist students attending publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This grant will assist graduating seniors in need of financial support to complete their final course requirements.

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) joins the nation’s 101 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to honor and remember Dr. George Cooper as he is laid to rest on Monday.

Teen entrepreneur Tori Turner and young filmmaker Aaron Johnson are recognized alongside this lineup with the second McDonald’s 365Black Community Choice Youth Award, facilitated by the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.

TMCF launched the application process for the inaugural year of the Apple HBCU Scholars Program, the largest and most comprehensive scholarship effort in HBCU history. Thirty successful undergraduate student recipients will be awarded sizable scholarships and receive year-long mentorships by Apple employees to include a paid internship at Apple headquarters next summer.

Students at the Florida A&M University (FAMU) Developmental Research School (DRS) learned today of a new research project designed to pioneer online learning methods and technologies. The research project is the first effort to result from an alliance between the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and University of Phoenix (UOPX) to bring online learning and teaching methods to Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs).
