Thurgood Marshall College Fund and ZS Select 17 HBCU Students for Inaugural Fellows Program

WASHINGTON, DC (AUG. 5, 2021) – The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and ZS announced today the selection of the inaugural cohort of the newly formed ZS SEED Program. The ZS SEED Fellows are hand selected students from America’s publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs).

The ZS SEED Program is a multiyear collaboration for rising sophomore and junior HBCU students that provides soft skill resources, corporate development experiences and financial assistance. The ZS SEED Fellows will work side-by-side with ZSers on real-world client problems to develop innovative solutions. Fellows will have the opportunity to explore a career in consulting and professional services, network, and receive mentorship and coaching.

The ZS SEED Fellows were selected after an intensive application process. In addition to scholarships, immersion programs, and professional development, fellows will have opportunities to secure internships and full-time employment after graduation.

“We created the ZS SEED Program in order to attract the best talent to join ZS,” said ZS Chief Operating Officer and Executive Global Inclusion and Diversity Council Chair Sandra Forero. “Working in consulting is something that is not easily understood until you experience it, so my hope for students in the ZS SEED Program is that they get to experience what it is like to work at ZS and work in consulting first hand and that will motivate them to continue their engagement with us throughout their journey.”
