Thurgood Marshall College Fund executive to speak at HBCU Night in Baltimore

Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) executive will serve as a panelist for the launch of the Oak View Group’s (OVG) diversity, equity and inclusion career readiness program, known as Ascend, on Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore.

Dr. Clara Ross Stamps, chief marketing and communications at TMCF, will join panelists in a discussion encompassing historically Black colleges and universities (HBCU) students in the workforce; diversity, equity and inclusion; and career advice for students.

“It’s an honor to join these distinguished panelists to provide insight and access to industry for our HBCU students,” Stamps said. 

Known as HBCU Night, the event will provide HBCU students from the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia regions with exclusive access to a behind-the-scenes look at venue operations, including expert insights, industry panel discussions and a networking mixer.

Stamps will be joined by:

  • Crystal Davidson, director of DEI programming at Oak View Group
  • Tammira Lucas – CEO/Founder of The Cube, Cowork
  • Chanelle Reynolds – DEI programs lead at the Washington Commanders
  • Nate Harris – General manager at Greater Richmond Convention Center

Thurgood Marshall College Fund Board of Directors add two new member schools

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Board of Directors met April 29-30 in Montgomery, Alabama on the Alabama State University campus and completed several action items, including the addition of two new member schools and the appointment of a new board director.
