A member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Board of Directors was recently recognized as one of Fortune’s most powerful women.

Toni Townes-Whitley, the CEO of SAIC, was named to the list and rose in the rankings from the previous year. Townes-Whitley is one of only two Black women in the CEO role of a Fortune 500 company.

“Toni has served as a priceless advisor to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund through a period of tremendous growth,” Dr. Harry L. Williams, president & CEO of TMCF, said. “She’s so deserving of this honor and we’re grateful to have access to her expertise.”

Last fall, she was recognized by TMCF with the CEO Impact Award at an event in Washington, D.C.
“I’m here really in the time of my life, having the job of my life, and enjoying myself tremendously with a company that mirrors some of the same values that I find with Thurgood Marshall College Fund,” Townes-Whitley said at the event.
