Scholars focus on career readiness on day three of Leadership Institute

October 13, 2025

Day three of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Leadership Institute focused on career readiness for the attending scholars, starting with a morning power hour for interviews, a huddle for career conversations with talent coaches and the continuation of the recruitment fair. Groups not attending the recruitment fair on day three attended speed branding sessions.

The afternoon plenary focused on mastering the transition from campus to corporate. Scholars also enjoyed a surprise appearance from actor Daniel Ezra, known for his role as Spencer James in “All American.” Ezra discussed health and wellness, among many other topics, during an interview-style session.

The afternoon also featured breakout sessions, including a case study discussion and a conversation with career and industry insights about companies beyond the brand.

The evening plenary, sponsored by Pfizer, focused on turning connections into career catalysts through authentic conversations with members of the company. Scholars had the opportunity to meet with their coaches to conclude the evening during coaching corner office hours.

Only one day remains of Leadership Institute, as participants aim to make their best impression and soak up as much knowledge as possible before the closing session.
