RESTON, VA. JULY 12Revature, the largest employer of emerging technology talent in the United States, today announced its partnership with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community. Revature and TMCF will provide pathways to employment in technology positions across the United States for HBCU students pursuing careers as technology professionals.

Graduates from TMCF’s member schools, which are publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs), employed by Revature will gain experience in the latest enterprise-level programming skills through an intensive, paid training. Following training, Revature Associates work on projects for the company’s blue chip client companies throughout the U.S.

“We are thrilled to expand our relationship with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, having already established a scholarship for their network of students who are interested in a career in technology,” said Revature CEO Ashwin Bharath. “With our commitment to training the future tech workforce and closing the opportunity gap, this partnership allows us to provide Black graduates with the unique opportunity to accelerate their career as tech professionals.”

“The field of technology plays a fundamental role in the future of our work force development, and it should represent the viewpoints, priorities and ideas of our increasingly diverse population,” said TMCF Chief Programs Officer Dr. Eric D. Hart. “TMCF and Revature’s important work will help increase the number of diverse voices in tech related fields, and lead to better and strengthened ties with men and women of color, who are greatly underrepresented in the technology profession.”
