2026-2027 TMCF | Wells Fargo Access Scholarship

About the Company

Scholarship Overview:

Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Wells Fargo are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending TMCF’s member schools that include 57 publicly supported historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), historically Black community colleges (HBCCs), predominantly Black institutions (PBIs), medical and law schools. Fifty (50) scholars will be selected to receive a need-based scholarship up to $10,000 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The total eligible scholarship amount will be disbursed as a single payment during the fall 2026 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a full-time enrolled student as an undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior at a TMCF member school during the 2026-2027 academic year
  • Majoring in the areas of science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM)
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Must have the 2026-2027 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection
  • Must be able to demonstrate a financial need
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551

  • What core principles or values do you believe are most essential to creating positive change in your community and future career field? How do you plan to embody them in both your educational pursuits and interactions with others?

This application opens June 1, 2026, and closes July 17, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST (Eastern Standard Time).

Additional Information:

The eligible total amount will be funded in one disbursement for the 2026-2027 academic year, based on the conditions outlined in the scholar’s contract.
