Scholarship Overview:
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Verisk are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending TMCF’s member schools, which include 57 publicly-supported historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), historically Black community colleges (HBCCs), predominantly Black institutions (PBIs), medical and law schools. Four (4) scholars will be selected to receive a scholarship of $10,625 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The total eligible scholarship amount will be allocated in two installments: one during the fall 2026 semester and the second during the spring 2027 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a full-time enrolled student as an undergraduate junior or senior at a TMCF member school during the 2026-2027 academic year
- Majoring in one of the following STEM related majors:
- Business
- Data science
- Actuarial science
- Finance
- Accounting
- Mathematics
- Statistics
- Cyber security
- Software engineering
- Computer/systems engineering
- Computer science
- Marketing
- Programming
- Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
- Be able to demonstrate a financial need
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
