Scholarship Overview:
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Deloitte Foundation are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Seventy-one (71) scholars will be selected to receive a scholarship of $8,000 for the 2026-2027 academic year, which may be renewable if recipients continue to meet eligibility requirements. The total eligible scholarship amount will be allocated in two installments: one during the fall 2026 semester and the second during the spring 2027 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).
Eligibility Requirements:
- Open to students intending to become, or those that are currently, accounting majors
- An applicant must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be a current community college student planning to transfer and enroll full-time at a four-year HBCU as a sophomore or junior for the 2026-2027 academic year
- Be currently enrolled full-time at an HBCU as a freshman or sophomore during the 2025-2026 academic year
- Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
- Must have the 2026-2027 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection
- Must be able to demonstrate a financial need
- Selected participants must have the ability to reside in the United States and the intention to pursue career opportunities in the United States after graduating from the University
