About the Company

Scholarship Overview:

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and CoBank are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending TMCF’s member schools that include 57 publicly supported historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), historically Black community colleges (HBCCs), predominantly Black institutions (PBIs), medical and law schools. Twelve scholars will be selected to receive a need-based scholarship of up to $10,250 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The total eligible scholarship amount will be allocated in two installments: one during the fall 2026 semester and the second during the spring 2027 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a full-time enrolled student as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior (or have cumulative credit hours equating to the aforementioned classifications) at a TMCF member school during the 2026-2027 academic year
  • Open to designated majors:
    • Agriculture (including agri-business, agriculture production and agriculture finance)
    • Banking
    • Finance
    • Utility-related majors (including water conservation, electrical line work or gas operations
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Must have the 2026-2027 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection
  • Must be able to demonstrate a financial need
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
