A staff member at the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Dr. N. Joyce Payne Research Center was published in the November edition of Higher Education Digest’s magazine.

Dr. Tymon M. Graham, director for administration and research strategy at the Dr. N. Joyce Payne Research Center, published work on student retention in the magazine’s current edition. Graham’s work was originally published digitally in June, but also appears in the November 2024 edition of the magazine.

Graham’s work is titled “Accelerating Retention: The Tri-focal A.C.E. Approach for HBCU Student Affairs Leaders” and explores topics such as the role of student affairs leaders in retention; the aspects of the tri-focal approach; and family involvement in retention efforts.

“It takes a village to assist in the student’s overall success,” Graham wrote. “Though often facilitated by student affairs leaders, the institutional investment in students must be widespread.”
