TM² Executive Search Firm, the premier executive search firm exclusively dedicated to serving Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs), and Historically Black Community Colleges (HBCCs), is seeking an Associate Principal and Search Consultant. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Search Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executive search and recruitment, with the ability to identify, engage, and place senior-level executives in key leadership positions. This role requires a deep understanding of the executive search process, strong industry knowledge, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Interim President - TM² Executive Search Firm

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their organizational needs, culture, and strategic objectives.
  • Search Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive search strategies to identify and attract top executive talent. This includes market mapping, industry research, and competitive analysis.
  • Candidate Identification: Source and evaluate potential candidates through various channels, including networking, direct sourcing, referrals, and online platforms. Guide candidates through hiring process ensuring a positive experience.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of candidates, including in-depth interviews, reference checks, and evaluating qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Candidate Presentation: Present shortlisted candidates to clients, providing detailed candidate profiles and insights to support the decision-making process.
  • Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to provide valuable insights to clients and candidates.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, potential candidates, and business leaders.
  • Search Strategy Development: Partner with Principal and Client to define the search scope, develop role specifics, and craft compelling position descriptions.
  • Market Mapping and Talent Intelligence: Conduct in-depth industry and market research to identify top talent and emerging leadership trends.
  • Screening and Evaluation: Conduct thorough interviews, assess leadership competencies, and other assessments to ensure a strong knowledge of each candidate.
  • Technical Proficiency: Maintain TRM accuracy to track candidate and client interactions.

Position Mandatories:

  • Travel: As needed, may be up to 25%

Required Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field such as higher education administration, organizational psychology, or business administration is required. Terminal Degree such as: Ph.D., Ed.D., or J.D. is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting research and analysis in higher education, executive leadership, talent management, or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing HBCUs, PBIs, and HBCCs, particularly in the area of leadership stability.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and compelling messages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in executive search or talent acquisition is preferred but not required.
