Kamina Griffin, a Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) scholar and Innovation and Entrepreneur (I&E) Studentpreneur recently launched SECURE, an app that uses the power of AI technology to help find tailored scholarships, craft the perfect class schedule and provide other resources and guidance to support students throughout their academic journey.
Griffin is a rising junior at Spelman College majoring in economics and comparative women’s studies with a double minor in management and organization and entrepreneurship and innovation. She had the opportunity to participate not only in The Pitch 2023 competition but also the SO. Ambitious HBCU Tour. Kamina’s experience at both programs heightened and accelerated her personal entrepreneurial endeavors.
“After being highlighted as a TMCF innovator, my network was strengthened more, and I was able to acquire a viewership and recognition,” shared Kamina.
Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s I&E programming identifies, positions, and prepares the next generation of diverse global innovators to create and drive technology solutions that will change the world. Their programs equip future innovators from historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and predominantly Black institutions (PBIs) with the skill sets needed to generate economic success through their own businesses or within today’s knowledge-driven organizations.
