The TMCF Impact

Our Impact

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) significantly impacts students’ lives by offering a comprehensive pathway from high school to career. TMCF’s efforts are particularly crucial given the challenges historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) college students face. Through our various programs and support systems, TMCF manages to transform the lives of thousands of students annually, making a substantial difference in the educational and professional landscape.

TMCF achieves an impressive graduation rate of 85-90% for its scholars, which stands out remarkably compared to other educational statistics. In contrast, the overall graduation rate for Black students is just 46%, while students at HBCUs have a lower graduation rate of 39%. Additionally, the general graduation rate for students across all races and nationalities, irrespective of attending an HBCU, is 64%. These comparisons underscore the exceptional impact and effectiveness of TMCF’s programs and support in advancing the academic success of its scholars.
