Day two of Leadership Institute paired students and corporate partners at the recruitment fair

September 13, 2026

The second of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Leadership Institute paired students with corporate partners in a recruitment fair designed to make connections count.

Day two for the students began with breakfast and a morning huddle with their respective talent coaches to prepare for the day ahead.

Afterwards, the recruitment fair began and participants put their hard-earned skills to work with all the sessions, meetings, advice and preparation culminated with the opportunity to talk to various corporate partners. Some students will leave with internship or job offers and connections that could lead to future opportunities.

The lunch plenary session, presented by Pfizer, was titled “You Are Not Behind: Killing the Comparison Trap.” Pfizer officials offered insights gleaned from experience in the industry, hoping to ease the corporate world navigation process for students in the near future.

Early-afternoon breakout sessions focused on leadership in action and featured a variety of corporate partners. Late-afternoon sessions helped unpack career insights with representatives from many partners.

A best-in-class interactive dinner offered participants a chance to process their Leadership Institute experience so far while providing nourishment after a long day, as they prepared for day three.
