TM² Executive Search (TM²), the executive search firm of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), recently added a new senior consultant to its team.
Dr. Felecia Commodore recently joined TM² to provide strategic guidance and leverage deep expertise in higher education governance.
Commodore brings a distinguished background in higher education leadership, organizational behavior and governance at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). She also serves as an associate professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with research focus areas in leadership, governance and administrative practices, with a focus on HBCUs.
“Dr. Commodore is an asset to the Black college community and will strengthen our efforts to recruit and retain executive leadership at institutions around the country,” Dr. Harry L. Williams, president & CEO of TMCF, said.
She has served as a consultant to institutional governing boards, faculty senates, system-level governing boards, foundation boards and presidents, helping to strengthen shared governance practices and ensure the high-functioning and effective operation of higher education institutions. Commodore is also the lead author of “Black Women College Students: A Guide to Success in Higher Education” and co-author of the forthcoming book, “Power, Persuasion, and Politics in Higher Education.”
Commodore earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Drexel University, a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a doctorate in higher education from the University of Pennsylvania.
