Leadership Institute concludes with a call to rise to leadership

October 13, 2025

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Leadership Institute concluded with a call to action: rise into leadership and be the transformation.

The final day began with an interview power hour and led to a morning plenary, sponsored by Ally Financial, about understanding the total value of the offers scholars received from corporate partners.

Following the plenary, participants had the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions that provided industry insights or a moment to reflect on impact.

In the afternoon, the participants assembled for a final time in the closing session. Dr. Harry L. Williams, president & CEO of TMCF, provided a message before they departed.

“It’s been incredible to stand back and watch our scholars interact with our corporate partners and each other this week,” Dr. Williams said. “You won’t find the energy and excitement of this week anywhere else.”

Later in the evening, students had a chance to unwind and network with their peers during a black-tie bash before their return trips to campus.
