Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) President & CEO Dr. Harry L. Williams will serve as the fall commencement speaker at Fayetteville State University on Friday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. in Felton J. Capel Arena in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Fayetteville State is a TMCF member school

“One of the best aspects of my job is to meet the students at our member schools, especially on the day of commencement,” Dr. Williams said. “It’s a joy to see that excitement for the future, satisfaction of completing their degree and eagerness to take on the world on their faces.”

Dr. Williams visited Fayetteville State last summer, serving as a keynote speaker for the Seeking, Observing and Achieving Results (SOAR) program. SOAR is a program that brings high school students to historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to expose them to higher education opportunities, as well as assisting with planning pathways for a successful transition to college or the workforce.
