From TMCF Scholar to Global Innovator: The Remarkable Journey of Temitope Ajibola

In the pursuit of academic excellence and global impact, Temitope Ajibola, a distinguished Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) scholar, has crafted an extraordinary journey from dreaming of studying in the United States to becoming the founder of Youniserve, a groundbreaking global talent mobility startup.

From the classrooms of Morgan State University to the global stage of entrepreneurship, Ajibola embodies the spirit of innovation, leadership, and a dedication to creating positive change. Ajibola participated in TMCF’s Hennessy Fellows Program. The landmark program awards high-
achieving graduate students, representing a variety of undergraduate majors from liberal arts to sciences and engineering, with curated corporate development experiences and financial assistance from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs).

“I wanted to make a mark during and after my MBA program at Morgan State University as well as be notable amongst my peers for leadership and innovation,” Ajibola said. “TMCF, through the myriads of opportunities it provides, gave me just the perfect opportunity to focus on my goals, get mentored, and have the confidence to excel at them.”

Ajibola’s story is one of resilience, ambition, and a commitment to transforming dreams into reality. As a TMCF scholar, he embarked on his academic journey with a vision to excel. Graduating as one of the best in his class, he earned the honor of delivering a valedictorian
address, marking the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

During his academic tenure, Ajibola demonstrated academic prowess and a passion for innovation and community impact. He organized the first student-led hackathon, MorganHacks, at Morgan State University. MorganHacks proved a resounding success and received acknowledgment from the United States Vice President, showcasing Temitope’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration.

His contributions extended beyond the campus, earning him a citation from the Mayor of the City of Annapolis for being part of the team that proposed an intelligent city app idea, exemplifying his dedication to leveraging technology for societal betterment.

Ajibola’s impactful journey transcended borders as he was invited to a White House listening session for young men of color hosted by the Office of the Vice President of the United States. This recognition affirmed his commitment to societal progress and his potential as a change-maker.

Now, Ajibola is at the forefront of building the future of global talent mobility with Youniserve. Rooted in his experiences as an international student and professional seeking globalnopportunities, Youniserve reflects his vision for a platform that empowers individuals to navigate

“Being a Hennessy Fellow was a ‘mirror’ for me,” Ajibola said. “It was an opportunity to experience all I can be at the C-suite level that I have not yet become but will evolve into. The networking with top executives, the mentorship with leaders, and the funding opportunity for a
social impact project of my choice made the Hennessy experience sublime for me.”
