Thurgood Marshall College Fund President & CEO Dr. Harry L. Williams has issued the following statement on the passing of former TMCF Board of Directors member Dr. Frederick S. Humphries.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of former TMCF board member, Dr. Frederick S. Humphries, in his passing. A former president of two public HBCUs, Florida A&M University (FAMU) and Tennessee State University (TSU), President Humphries made significant achievements throughout the higher education landscape, and his contributions and legacy will live on.
