Vivian Burey Marshall STEM Pilot Initiative
The Vivian Burey Marshall (VBM) STEM Pilot Initiative aims to increase the competencies and interests of students from underrepresented and disadvantaged populations in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Designed to develop and nurture STEM literacy, this program will provide experiences and exposure to students interested in building the necessary skill sets in this competitive field. The overall vision and goal of VBM are to grow its initiative in other underrepresented and disadvantaged communities outside of its current test cities in Vicksburg, MS, and Baltimore, MD along with reshaping the diversity gap in the STEM workforce between gender and race.
