For over a decade, TMCF has hosted this capacity-building conference to engage its member-schools in research-driven conversations that lead to enhanced institutional practices and positive outcomes for publicly-supported HBCU students. Beyond educating students, colleges and universities also have to keep faculty and administrators updated with the latest technology, changes in enrollment characteristics, and larger societal issues so that they can help students be more successful. Through workshops, plenary sessions, and affiliation forums, conference participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry professionals in order to create action plans that will promote opportunities for students on their respective campuses. The ultimate goal is for conference participants to take back to their schools the latest ideas and strategies that will effectively create change on campus and strengthen the pipeline of graduates entering the workforce.
